High School Ranked in Top 50 in the State! The U.S. News and World Report recently recognized Gibbon High School as one of the top 50 high schools in Nebraska. The complete listing can be found at http://www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools. This recognition was based on the Nebraska State Math and Reading tests for the class of 2013. Criteria for earning this ranking were the entire class’s proficiency level in the testing when compared to other districts and secondly, the proficiency level of our district’s “disadvantaged group” when compared to other districts in the state. A district’s “disadvantaged group” was defined as the ethnic diverse and low income population.

The district is extremely proud of this accomplishment. The district feels this recognition attests to the quality education being provided by the Gibbon Public Schools. If you have questions regarding this recognition, you are encouraged to call Larry Witt, Superintendent of Schools.
